My Dear Knight

↳ Exploration of the interaction between the body and the machine, where knitting, manual or mechanized, becomes a space for experimentation, combining coded logic and bodily intuition. By integrating digital tools, it examines the relationship between human slowness and mechanical regularity, transforming technical constraints in a ritual of gesture. Transposition of a pattern using various knitting techniques : lace effect, embroidery stitch, openwork stitch.

While the students are away, the teachers will play! KnitHz!

↳ In the 90s, the Warp6 label used artificial intelligence to create an album for the first time. Through the process of machine learning, a code detects the hertz frequencies of the music and transcribes them into shapes. These shapes are then transferred and knitted onto a hacked machine. This project raises issues around the use of machine learning in artistic creation and the relationship between machine and craft. This combination of technology and craft rethinks the relationship between machine and artist, and reintroduces a human dimension into the creative process.
